St. Patrick’s Behavioral Health Hospital is Northeast Louisiana’s leading provider in behavioral health services.  We provide psychiatric diagnostic treatment for young adults (age 22 and up), senior adults and their families in both inpatient and outpatient settings. 

St. Patrick’s embraces the healing ministry of Jesus Christ to God’s people, especially those in need. We embrace the core values and mission of St. Francis Medical Center as a part of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System.

Dementia, a progressive brain dysfunction, leads to a gradually increasing restriction of daily activities. The most well-known type of dementia is Alzheimer's disease. Dementia not only affects patients, but also those surrounding them. Clinical depression is more than being sad or a little blue; it is much more serious and typically cannot be overcome or shaken off easily. Severity and duration are the best indicators for distinguishing sadness/blues from depression. For approximately 8 percent of all Americans, some type of anxiety becomes an overwhelming condition that produces prolonged worry or even intense fear without apparent cause, which may impair their social and work functioning. These people have an illness, an anxiety disorder.

This center provides adult and geriatric care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
