St. Patrick's Behavioral Health Hospital in Monroe, Louisiana,is here to help meet the challenges that mental health changes bring to many of us, including the most difficult - physical illnesses that affect the brain and masquerade as emotional changes. Behavioral illnesses, often the most under-diagnosed of medical conditions, are successfully treatable and manageable once treatment is sought.

Admission as an inpatient is not always necessary; therefore, St. Patrick’s provides services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Each treatment plan is customized to individual needs. Admission begins with a complete physical and psychiatric evaluation. A team of doctors, nurses, social workers and mental health technicians develop and put into motion a tailored treatment plan that addresses the medical and emotional needs of each individual. Treatment comes in many forms including medication therapy, activity therapy, as well as individual and group therapies.

At St. Patrick’s, the family, as well as other caregivers, plays an important role in all phases of care - from hospitalization through continuing care. As a team we have one goal …optimal recovery and stabilization within each individual’s potential.
